Detectives need your assistance regarding theft from Ever-Rest Memorial Park

On Friday, Nov. 29, 2019 at approximately 8:29 a.m., Cass County Central Dispatch was notified of a theft of bronze vases at Ever-Rest Memorial Park on Logansport Road in Cass County.
Deputy Scott Turney responded to the business to conduct an investigation. Upon arrival, Deputy Turney learned someone had illegally removed 205 bronze flower vases from grave stones at the memorial park. The theft occurred between the evening hours of November 26 and the morning hours of November 29.
Officers have been contacting local businesses and northern Indiana metal scrap yards to locate the missing vases.
The theft is still under investigation by the Cass County Sheriff’s Office. Anyone with additional information is asked to contact the office at 574-753-7800.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
