UPDATE AS OF DEC. 19, 2019:
More than a year of waiting and detours will finally end this weekend.
Saturday evening (Dec. 21), the new Market Street Bridge will open to the public. Some lane restriction barrels will be in place for two weeks, but thru traffic between downtown Logansport and the west side will resume. Some finishing work will remain in the two following weeks and final touches will be made in April.

ORIGINAL POST:Just in time for Christmas, the long detours to the west side are about to be over.
Work on the new Market Street Bridge project will conclude soon, and although weather conditions could change, the tentative opening date is two weeks from today.
Final work on the bridge will not be complete until April 7 when sealing and striping will be completed.
