New Session of “Growing Together” to begin in January 2020

Logansport Parks & Recreation will be offering “Growing Together,” with a new session beginning on Wednesday, January 8, 2020. This is an opportunity for parents with children ages six months to four years to help build developmental skills in their young children. Each child is to be accompanied by 1 adult to the class to participate. The first class is free to new participants.
The purpose of the program is to work closely with parents as they help their child to:
- Explore their senses;
- Develop good communication skills;
- Develop problem solving skills;
- Build gross motor coordination;
- Promote creativity through interactive physical activities combined with music.
This program will help young children to develop the underlying skills necessary to support whole body development such as:
- Attention and alertness;
- Body awareness;
- Balance and coordination;
- Strength and endurance;
- Movement planning;
A new session begins the first Wednesday of each month. The registration fee is $25.00 per 4-week session. Class will meet on Wednesday’s at 6:00 p.m. for one hour. Class time will consist of four 15-minute intervals which will include:
The instructor for this program is Cinda Milan. Cinda is a licensed teacher with over 30 years teaching experience.
