Logansport Memorial Hospital welcomes first baby of the decade

Last Updated on January 5, 2020 by cassnetwork

Logansport Memorial Hospital is excited to announce that the first baby of the New Year – and decade – was born on January 1 at 2:38 a.m. to Keisha and Ryan Troutman from Fulton, Indiana. Baby Lucas is 8 pounds 6 ounces, 19 inches long, and has a full head of dark, brown hair.

It wasn’t Keisha’s due date just yet, but she said she had a feeling she would go early, and she did.

“We had everything ready at home because I just felt like I was going to deliver early. I’m still shocked because we weren’t expecting to have the first baby of the New Year.”

Keisha and Ryan were very surprised to walk into a room full of presents for the New Year’s Baby. They were both very thankful and appreciated that the community cared so much about the families delivering at Logansport Memorial Hospital. As they go home to introduce Lucas to his older brothers, Easton and Wyatt, they described this moment as a great experience, and that they “couldn’t ask for more.”
