SOURCE: News release from Logansport Memorial Hospital

With the recent announcement of tightened visitor restrictions, we wanted to clarify some questions about what that means for other hospital services that are accessed by the public.

How to pay hospital bills

Patients and/or visitors are being directed topay their bills online, using the Logansport Memorial Hospital website. Please do not come in to the hospital to pay your bill. Bills can also be paid by mail, or by phone.

  • To pay your bill online, visit www.LogansportMemorial.org and click “Pay My Bill” in the top right corner.
  • To pay your bill by phone, please call one of our Financial Counselors: (574) 753-1335, (574) 753-1477 or (574) 753-1371

Keeping appointments and other testing/procedures

In preparation for a possible influx of patients and to limit potential exposure to patients and staff, Logansport Memorial Hospital has made the decision to also cancel, restrict, or postpone the following services until further notice:

  • Elective and non-emergent surgeries
  • Preventive screenings, including colonoscopy and mammography screenings
  • Sleep lab services
  • Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab services
  • Medicare Annual Wellness Visits for patients ages 65+
  • Additional wellness (non-acute) visits are encouraged to be postponed as well, unless the provider and patient determine otherwise

Our providers and surgeons will consult and determine on a case-by-case basis whether appointments, surgeries, and procedures should take place or be postponed for patients. This has not changed from our initial restriction on elective and non-emergent surgeries.

We will continue to schedule and treat patients to minimize any potential negative impacts on the patient’s overall health. It is up to the physician to decide if cancelling or postponing a surgery or appointment will have a negative impact on the patient’s overall health. Patients impacted by cancellations or rescheduling of appointments will be contacted by LMH staff directly.
