United Way of Cass County and the City of Logansport are conducting a survey to identify needs in Cass County during the COVID-19 pandemic. We want to hear what is on the minds of people in Cass County and where they might be struggling regarding access to food, transportation, rent, healthcare, their job, etc.

According to Chris Armstrong, Executive Director of United Way, “Citizens who are struggling and need resources can take a short survey so we can gather information. The link can be found on our Facebook page, Twitter and our website www.unitedwayofcasscounty.org under COVID-19 Response where other resources can be also found. Not all questions need to be answered if they do not apply, just scroll through. The survey closes, Friday, April 24th at 5pm and can be found at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/uwcassco

We have also started a COVID-19 Emergency Fund and have received donations from individuals and businesses. On March 26th Martin’s Super Markets started collecting customer donations for the United Way relief fund and will match up to $25,000 for local United Way branches.

Armstrong said “This just shows what wonderful businesses and people we have in our community and we appreciate each and every one!”

“The Mayor’s office is happy to be partnering with United Way of Cass County to serve the needs of our residents that may be struggling. Together, we are working on a grant through the COVID-19 Relief Program aimed at helping rural communities like ours.  It’s been so great seeing all the local collaboration with various relief efforts during this unprecedented health crisis.” Stacy Cox, Deputy Mayor.
