The City of Logansport and the United Way of Cass County have been working with folks from Felix’s Pantry to provide free meals one night per week to families in Logansport. This program is being funded by the COVID-19 Relief Grant awarded to the City.

We are pleased to be partnering with local restaurants to provide food for these weekly meals. This will help families and local businesses through this time of hardship. There will likely be two meals to choose from each week in an effort to provide options to meet the families’ food preferences.

Volunteers will be distributing 200 meals each week for the months of June and July. The free meals can be picked up through our drive thru service every Thursday at Columbia Elementary School from 4 – 6 p.m. or until the food is gone. This will be a first come first serve program. Meals this week will be provided by Happy Burger and Bruno’s Pizza paid for through the COVID-19 Relief Grant.

Since this program is funded by grant dollars, all recipients will need to fill out a brief questionnaire to track who we are serving in the community. This will all be done curbside outside Columbia Elementary School located at 20 E. Columbia Street. Please follow the signs directing the traffic flow.

Thank you to everyone that has made this possible including the Logansport Community School Corporation, United Way volunteers and local restaurants. If you own or operate a local restaurant and would like to be involved in this program, please contact Stacy Cox at deputymayor@cityoflogansport.org or call 574-727-1231.
