VEHICLE SETTLEMENT: Attorney General Curtis Hill announced a more than $85 million multistate settlement with Honda over vehicle safety issues related to defects in frontal airbag systems in certain Honda and Acura vehicles that were sold in the United States. Hoosiers who own a Honda or Acura vehicle are strongly encouraged to visit hondaairbaginfo.com or call Honda’s toll-free customer service number at 888-234-2138 to see if their vehicle is subject to a recall. You may also check for open recalls by going to Safercar.gov. Read more below:

BACK ON TRACK/MASKS: Indiana will remain in stage 4.5 of the Back on Track Indiana plan and masks will be required through at least Sept. 25. The Indiana State Department of Health has also announced a new positivity map on its COVID-19 dashboard. Read more below:

VOTING ABSENTEE-BY-MAIL: Slides from Governor’s press conference say the U.S. Postmaster recommends that people mail their application for an absentee ballot for the November election no later than October 19. The completed ballot should be mailed back to the county no later than Oct. 27.
