Update on August 6, 2020 crash at Main Street and U.S. 35 in Logansport

On Thursday, Aug. 6, 2020 at approximately 1:50 p.m., the Logansport Police Department’s Patrol Division was dispatched to U.S. 35 and the Main Street exit in reference to a motor vehicle accident. Upon initial investigation, it was determined that a 2004 Honda Odyssey traveling westbound on U.S. 35 had collided with the rear of a 2006 Kenworth which hauls roll-off containers. The driver of the Kenworth, Kevin Gresley, 60, of Greentown, was on Main Street and pulled across the westbound lanes of travel for U.S. 35. His vehicle was stopped in the median and was waiting to turn eastbound when the rear of the vehicle was struck.

The driver of the 2004 Odyssey, Dar Day, 53, along with passenger, Hau Pau, 52, both of Fort Wayne were deceased at the scene. This crash is still under investigation.

The Logansport Police Department was assisted by Indiana State Police, Cass County Sheriff’s Department, Logansport Fire Department, Phoenix Ambulance Service, K&K Recovery and special deputies who assisted with traffic control.
