The Logansport Mayor’s office is excited to announce that we are beginning to accept applications for the Logansport Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council. The Logansport Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council was created with the goal of assisting city leaders in creating a strategic vision for the future of the entire Logansport community. This select group of 11 young people will meet regularly to outline a vision for the city of Logansport, as well as providing a youth perspective on ongoing legislation and projects. Students who would like to apply must attend Logansport High School, but they are not required to live in Logansport. Applications can be picked up in the Mayor’s office and the Logansport High School Main office. They must be turned in by September 15, 2020.

The Logansport Mayor’s Office would like to invite members of our Logansport community to serve on the Mayor’s Cultural Diversity Committee. The goal of this group is to better connect City leaders with all members of our community.“We live in a community with a diverse population and culture,” Mayor Martin said, “I am often dismayed when we fail to engage certain populations within our City at local events, festivals, and celebrations. I look forward to working with this committee to try to engage all members of our community and make Logansport a more inclusive place to live, work, and raise a family.”Those interested in serving on the Mayor’s Cultural Diversity Committee can contact the Mayor’s Office at 574-753-2551 or at mayorsoffice@cityoflogansport.org.
