Arrest made after report of shots fired in Galveston

The following information release was posted on the Galveston Police Department’s Facebook page on Monday, Oct. 26, 2020:

On 10/26/2020 at approximately 1:42 p.m., all law enforcement officers from the area was dispatched to the Galveston Town Hall and Police Department for possible shots fired. The alleged shot was reported to take place outside of the building. Officers arrived on scene within seconds and determined that the alleged individual was still in the parking lot.

An immediate arrest was made on the individual and transported to the Cass County Jail for booking on several charges without any further incident. Everyone at Town Hall is safe and secure. Town Hall has resumed business as usual. There is no threat to the community. Any further information regarding this incident please contact the Galveston Police Department.
