Here are a few things we thought you might want to know for Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2020:

Today is Election Day and the polls are open from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m.

If you are a registered Cass County voter, you can vote at one of 7 locations:

• Logansport High School Athletic Barn – 1 Berry Lane, Logansport

• Cass County Senior Center – 115 S. 6th St, Logansport

• Cass County 4-H Fairgrounds – CR 125 N, Logansport

• Galveston Community Center – 101 S. Park Road, Galveston

• Walton Community Center – Depot St, Walton

• Royal Center Masonic Lodge – 101 Kramer St., Royal Center

Twelve Mile Community Building – SR 16 , Twelve Mile


Early voting in Cass County began on Oct. 6. As of the end of the day Saturday, Oct. 31, the Cass County Clerk’s Office reported that 10,390 of Cass County’s registered voters had voted early.

On Monday, the final day of early voting, the Cass County Clerk’s Office reported that 216 people voted in person and they received 17 ballots by mail.

There are 22,612 registered voters in Cass County.


The Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles will have extended hours of operation Tuesday, Nov. 3 to issue ID cards and drivers licenses to be used for identification at a polling place. Branches will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. You can find more information here, or on the BMV’s website.

The Open Enrollment Period for the Federal Health Insurance Exchange officially began at HealthCare.gov on Sunday, November 1 and will run through Tuesday, December 15.

Medicare Open Enrollment began on October 15, 2020, and ends on December 7, 2020.


In a letter e-mailed to parents yesterday and shared on the corporation’s social media, the superintendent of Pioneer schools reported that a student has tested positive for COVID-19 and that a classroom has been quarantined and moved temporarily to virtual.

The superintendent asked people to avoid unnecessary gatherings, wear their masks, wash their hands and monitor for symptoms of COVID-19. He says that if a child shows any symptoms, they should stay home and get tested for COVID-19, which he says will be even more critical as flu season hits.

Twelve new cases were reported yesterday in Cass County, for a total to date of 2,415 cases and 26 deaths.


The Cass County Veterans Council will hold the annual Veterans Day Parade next week. It will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11 with a ceremony at the memorial at 4th and Broadway in downtown Logansport. Find more info here.
