Visitors will see a variety of Christmas scenes, including the story of the birth of Jesus, as they drive through Plank Hill Park, which is located on the north side of State Road 16 in Twelve Mile. Hours are 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12 and Sunday, Dec. 13.

Organizer Kathy Buczkowski says Santa and Mrs. Claus always greet evryone and pass out candy canes. This year, they’ll be located at the new Twelve Mile Community Building.

The number of participants has been limited a bit this year but there are about 35-45 people volunteering during the pageant at any given time, and more than 100 who “have or will play a part in making the pageant a success,” according to Buczkowski.

Free-will donations are typically accepted at the entrance to the park.
