Don’t know a Girl Scout? Direct-ship cookies starting February 1, 2021

SOURCE: News release from Girl Scouts of Northern Indiana – Michiana

(Fort Wayne, IN) – Have you purchased Girl Scout cookies yet? Well, now there’s another easy way to get all the delicious varieties – including the new “Toast-Yay” – whether or not you know a Girl Scout!

Starting Monday, Feb. 1, you can go to the Girl Scout Cookie Finder app on your smartphone and find a Direct Ship Troop Link. This link allows you to purchase Girl Scout cookies online and have the cookies shipped, even if you do not have a personal relationship with a girl/troop.

Cookies in the Girl Scouts of Northern Indiana-Michiana council are on sale through March 15 and cost $4 a package, $5 for gluten-free. Here are other ways to purchase cookies:

·         At in-person cookie booths if local safety guidelines allow. To find a booth location near you, enter your ZIP code in the “Find Cookies!” tool at www.gsnim.org or download the mobile app, Girl Scout Cookie Finder, on your smartphone.

·         Through Girl Scouts’ personal “Smart Cookies” platforms.

·         Email iwantcookies@gsnim.org and we will connect you with a local Girl Scout who will offer you the opportunity to order online and have cookies delivered safely in person or shipped from the baker.

·         Want to support Girl Scouts without the extra calories? With the Girl Scouts “Care to Share” option, you can buy cookies and donate them to first responders, volunteers and local causes.

The Girl Scout Cookie Program teaches girls how to think like entrepreneurs as they run their own small businesses and learn skills such as money management, goal-setting, people skills, business ethics and decision making. Girls decide as a troop how to use their cookie proceeds to fund leadership experiences, camp and community service projects.
