Last Updated on March 24, 2021 by Logansport Parks and Recreation Department

The Logansport Parks & Recreation Department has announced that the public may provide their feedback on the proposed downtown greenspace located around 4th Street and Melbourne Avenue, across from the Little Turtle Waterway. The public may see illustrations of the project at the Logansport-Cass County Public Library, the reception area at Logansport Memorial Hospital, and the cafeteria at Tyson Foods. Those that view the plans, may make comments using the provided forms. These forms are available in English, Spanish, and Burmese. The plans are also available on the Logansport Parks & Recreation Department’s website (www.logansportparks.com ) and Facebook (www.facebook.com/Logansport-Parks-Recreation-Department ) page, and include the comment form to be emailed to the Parks Administrator.

The project includes the relocation of the Little Turtle Waterway Gateway Arch, a small splashpad, restrooms, a concession stand, a large open-air pavilion, a game court, concession seating area, a performance lawn and stage, parking that may alternately be used for the farmer’s market, with the potential for an outdoor ice- skating rink.

Those with questions may contact the Logansport Park & Recreation Department at 574-753-6969 or parksinfo@cityoflogansport.org for further clarification.
