We join our community in mourning and extend our condolences to everyone affected.

Additional information on our website can be found here.

Cass County Commissioners

Friday after noon we learned of the passing of Cpl. Humberto Sanchez. As we all are feeling the loss of a member of our community that has made the ultimate sacrifice, we will be keeping his family, friends and military family in our thoughts and prayers.

When you enlist in the military, at the moment you take the oath, you are writing a blank check to this country with no expiration date. That moment in time signifies you as a hero to this great nation we live in. We pray that the check never gets cashed but unfortunately for some it does, protecting our way of life in the United States of America.

We ask that each and every one of you reading this speak Cpl. Sanchez’s name each and every day and let the legacy he has brought to Cass County live on. Never forget Cpl. Sanchez, the 10 other Marines, the Navy Corpsman and the Soldier who gave their all that day.

Til Valhalla, Semper Fi Marine
