Logansport’s first Day of the Dead celebration to be held Oct. 22, 2021

The Logansport Cultural Diversity Committee is excited to announce “Day of the Dead” which will be held at the State Theatre, in Logansport, Friday October 22, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m.

The evening will have an assortment of live entertainment including music from “Mariachi Sol Jalisciense,” as well as dancing from “ Grupo Folclorico Machehuani,” and the “Logansport Dance Team.”

Traditional Dias de los Muertes face painting will be done by the Logansport Art Club. Local art from the Logansport Art Association will be on display honoring the Day of the Dead and an altar honoring those who have passed. Clothing vendor, “Joyeria y Artesanias Laus”, will be selling handmade dresses, jewelry, and more.

“El Taquito Feliz” food truck will be outside the State Theatre serving all of their popular items and the State Theatre will be serving drinks from the bar and concession area.
