Mitchell to receive the Richard Cassidy Jr. “Thanks for Giving Award” on Nov. 20, 2021

The public is invited to the Cass County Community Foundation’s “Thanks for Giving” Donor & Volunteer Recognition Event, Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 6 p.m. The event will be held at the Logansport Golf Club.

The 2021 Richard Cassidy Jr. “Thanks for Giving” Award will be presented to Jason Mitchell at the celebration in honor of his outstanding contributions to Emmaus Mission, community volunteerism, and the most vulnerable citizens of Cass County.

The award was established in 2001 in honor of Richard Cassidy Jr., an original CCCF board member and longtime supporter of charitable and volunteer works in Cass County. The award is not presented every year and Mitchell will be only the 13th recipient since its inception.

Previous winners of the award include Richard Copeland, Judge Julian and Sue Ridlen, Bill Fouts, Dick Rusk, Mike McCord, Richard Scott, George Stephenson, Phyllis Kingery, Jane Miller, Ted Blank, Laura Cain, and the 1993 CCCF Board of Directors.

The evening will include tributes to Mr. Mitchell as well as live music provided by Mike Bowen, hors d’ oeuvres by Vibrant Events catering and a cash bar. The event is free of charge but you must RSVP to attend. RSVP deadline is Wednesday November 17, 2021.
