Watch for walkers on High Street in Logansport during Park’s New Year’s Eve Walk

The Logansport Parks & Recreation Department will hold the 2nd Annual Penguin Waddle on New Year’s Eve at Spencer Park from 5:00-6:30 p.m. While registration has closed for the Penguin Waddle, it is important for the public to be aware of pedestrians crossing High Street that are participating in this event. The Parks Department would appreciate cars slowing down for safety’s sake.

The route for this year’s event has changed to provide a more relaxed experience. Participants will enjoy a leisurely walk-through of Christmas in the Park, followed by a fire in the center of Spencer Park. Activities include roasting marshmallows for S’mores, enjoying hot cocoa and sending off floating lanterns inside Spencer Park. The goal for the event is to start the new year with healthy habits and enjoy a family friendly New Year’s Eve activity! We are grateful to our sponsors: MPR Realty, and Engineering Aggregates.

Registration has closed for this event, so be sure to check Logansportparks.com for upcoming events. Please watch for pedestrians crossing High Street during this event.
