Schroder to seek second term as Cass County Sheriff

Sheriff Ed Schroder announces he will seek a second term as the Sheriff of Cass County in the 2022 election cycle.

Schroder was elected to the position in the 2018 general election.

The Office of Sheriff is one of the county offices term limited by the Indiana Constitution.

“As your sheriff, I have been very busy with daily operations as well as the jail addition construction that started before I began my first term. The staff and I have worked diligently to be fiscally conservative while enhancing public safety. The COVID pandemic drastically increased the demands on the Sheriff’s Office and Detention Center. Cooperative efforts with
other public safety agencies, the local courts and the health department helped to mitigate the impact on services provided by the Sheriff’s Office. During the first term, I have improved administrative processes, modernized equipment, updated policies and added a fingerprinting service. I am humbled to serve the citizens of Cass County wish to continue to serve and protect you for another term.”
