Logansport Memorial Hospital will be hosting Babysitting Basics classes on Thursday, June 9 and Thursday, June 30 at McHale Complex in Logansport. Each class will be from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., and is open to adolescents ages 12 – 17. Cost is $10 per participant, with lunch provided.

Drop off will begin at 8:00 am and please plan to pick up your child at 4:00 p.m. We ask that you please stay in your car to help us follow our COVID-19 Guidelines. Those who will be driving themselves, please plan to park in the parking along the river. Masks are required for all participants.
Babysitting Basics will be led by staff from LMH staff, and will include presentations from the fire department, a retired police officer and a representative from the Indiana DNR. Topics will include: fire safety, police safety and security, water safety, weather preparedness, general childcare, safety and basic first aid and CPR.
Participants will also get to experience mock interviews. A certificate of completion will be provided upon
completion of the class.
