Due to the leaves falling early this year and the Street Department being able to get such a large head start on collection, they will be wrapping up loose leaf pick up the week of November 28.
During 2021, 146 total loads of leaves were collected and as of November 18, 2022, 164 loads have already been collected.
The Street Department will not pick up loose leaves during the week of November 21 to November 25. During this time, they will be prepping for winter weather as the weather has turned cold quicker than in recent years and they need to be prepared in the event of ice or snow.
They will make their final lap through town beginning on Monday, November 28, 2022. Please rake your leaves to the curb but not into the street before the morning of November 28 to have them picked up by the leaf vacs. After this time, leaves will need to be placed in lawn and leaf bags and placed by your trash container on your regular trash pick up day.
