Former Corrections Sergeant Ken Totten is thrilled to announce his plans to seek election to the Logansport City Council. Totten hopes to represent Logansport’s 5th Ward, which includes the east end of the city.
“None of us are blind to the progress Logansport has experienced over the last few years, myself included,” said Totten. “Now is the perfect time to get in on the action and ensure that the rate of progress only accelerates.”
Totten is a lifelong Indiana resident, born in Tipton and a graduate of Taylor High School in Howard County. His wife Marie brought him to Logansport in 1999 and he’s called it home ever since. He spent over 18 years working in Juvenile Corrections in Logansport, the last 10 as a Sergeant before recently retiring. Totten and his wife have 6 children, 16 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.
As your City Councilor, Totten will prioritize:
● Efficient review and implementation of city projects
● Responsible use of city funds
● Cutting waste and continuing the trend of balanced budgets
● Assisting in Logansport’s next act – continuing progress, together!
“For all the good that Logansport has given me, I’m ready to give back and serve this community which I care for so deeply. As we begin the campaign, I’m excited to get to meet each and every resident of Ward 5,” Totten said.
Logansport’s general election is Tuesday, November 7, 2023, with the primary election on Tuesday, May 2, 2023.
