The Logansport Parks & Recreation Department is proud to recognize Central Paving Inc. for receiving the “Indiana Quality Asphalt Pavement Award 2022” for their work on the Riverside Park Improvement Project. Central Paving was recognized at the annual conference of the Asphalt Pavement Association of Indiana in Muncie on December 15, 2022.
The Riverside Park Improvement Project consisted of two pickleball courts, two basketball courts, and the National Fitness Campaign’s Fitness Court as well as the pedestrian walkways and parking spaces located on the west end of Riverside Park . Central Paving also made the train track intersections associated with the Dentzel Carousel wheelchair accessible. The project was designed by Lehman & Lehman of Mishawaka, IN. This work was completed in June of 2022.
The Riverside Park Improvement project was compared to other sports and recreational surface projects in Greentown, Indianapolis, and Valparaiso and was judged to be of the highest quality.
