CR 500S will be closed at the intersection of US 35, effective immediately, in connection with the NIPSCO gas line construction. Longer than expected traffic delays on US 35 in the single-lane construction area have resulted in the need to close the CR 500S intersection. Traffic will not be able to access US 35 from 500S. Traffic on CR 500S from the east can divert a short distance on 600E to reach US 35. 500S traffic from the west will need to divert to the south on 500E to 600S, or to the north on 500E to US 35. The closure could be in effect until mid-May.
