SR 16 to have short-term closure in White and Cass Counties beginning on or after Thursday, Sept. 12, 2024

WHITE & CASS COUNTIES, Ind. – Indiana Department of Transportation maintenance crews will be conducting seal coating operations resulting in a road closure on State Road 16 beginning on or after Thursday, September 12.

State Road 16 will be closed during daytime work hours between State Road 119 and U.S. 35 for approximately two days. The official detour for this closure will follow State Road 119 and U.S. 35.

Through traffic should utilize the detour or seek an alternate route. Local traffic should exercise caution and follow traffic directions carefully in the area where work is occurring. This work is weather dependent, and the schedule is subject to change.
