H. Arlene Huffman

huffmanH. Arlene Huffman, 82, of Noblesville formerly of Royal Center passed away at 3:40 a.m., Friday, August 14, 2015 at Kindred Bridgewater Health and Rehab Center in Carmel.

Born on June 18, 1933 in Paxton, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Mabel (Johnson) Bankson.

She was a 1951 Deer Creek High School graduate and she attended Logansport Business College.

On November 25, 1953 married Richard “Rich” Huffman, he survives.

Arlene retired from Community State Bank in Royal Center after having been employed for over 30 years.  She was also a homemaker.

She was a member of the Royal Center United Methodist Church where she also served as the financial secretary for several years.  Arlene enjoyed playing piano and reading.

Survivors include her husband, Rich Huffman of Noblesville, daughter, Melinda “Mindy” Etter (John) of Westfield, sons, Mark A. Huffman (Linda) of Valparaiso and David W. Huffman (Karen) of Noblesville and grandchildren, Shaun Huffman, Ryan Huffman, Madison Huffman, Jake DeFord, Katie Huffman and Sophia Huffman.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, Edward Bankson.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home, Royal Center Chapel with Pastor Adrian Curtis officiating.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, August 17, 2015 at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Kistler Cemetery, Royal Center.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Royal Center United Methodist Church and/or the Emmaus Mission Center.
