The group memorialized Cpl. Sanchez by recounting his bravery and service for his country. Cpl. Sanchez received full military honors, including a Purple Heart and Congressional Gold Medal, after being killed while assisting fleeing American citizens and Afghan refugees at the Kabul airport in Afghanistan in 2021.
