Safe Sitter Class on May 23, 2026
The Cass County Health Department is offering a Safe Sitter Essentials with CPR class on Saturday, May 23, 2026 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Class fee is $35. Register by calling 574-753-7760 ext. 2006 or email kacy.hopper@casscountyin.gov, or stop by 1616 Smith St.

Turner Memorial T-Ball – Registration ends May 25, 2026
Ages 4-8
Practices are on Tuesday evenings and games are on Thursday evenings at AIM High Sports Complex by the fairgrounds.
Registration ends May 25, 2026.
Coaches and volunteers needed.
Season: June 2 – July 16, 2026 (no practice/games week of July 4)

Location: Cass County Family YMCA Pool
Ages 6 Months-36 Months
The YMCA offers swim lessons for babies and toddlers ages 6 – 30 months and their parents. This water introduction program helps the parent and the child get used to the water and see the pool as fun.
Parents and children play games that introduce basic introductory water skills such as blowing bubbles, breath control, kicking and floating. The class focuses on water orientation and encourages parents and babies to trust each other in the water. Lifeguards are always on duty during swim lessons.
Requirements
• One parent/family member must accompany the child in the water.
• Babies and toddlers who are not toilet trained must wear a swim diaper.

Boys and Girls Clubs Summer Learning Lab starts June 1, 2026
Looking for a summer experience that blends academic growth with classic camp fun? The FREE five-week Summer Learning Lab is back, and enrollment is now open for our Logansport Community School Corporation site:

Kids will spend their mornings engaging in literacy and math instruction led by certified teachers, ensuring they head back to school in the fall feeling confident and prepared. The afternoons transition into classic, high-energy Boys & Girls Club programming, packed with enrichment activities and field trips that make summer feel like a true adventure.
The program runs from June 1 through July 2, 2026, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and serves rising 1st-rising 8th graders
Breakfast is 8:30 and Lunch is at Noon.
We are proud to offer this experience at no cost to families.

Logansport Parks and Recreation Department’s 2026 Jr. Golf Camp at Dykeman Golf Course
Join LHS coaches Pete and Abby Lundy for four days of golf instruction, skill-building, games, and FUN at Dykeman Park Golf Course! Whether your child is brand new to golf or looking to improve their swing, this camp is a great way to learn the fundamentals in a fun and encouraging environment.

Youth Voice Mondays
STAND UP Cass County invites you to be heard, share ideas and make change.
This is your chance to stand up & voice opinions, contribute to meaningful conversations in the community, share ideas on how we can reach more youth with our efforts, help us
empower the youth in Cass County!
Ages 12 and up are welcome
2nd Monday every month from 3:45-4:45 p.m. at The Academy during the school year


YOUTH SAFE SPACE INITIATIVE
This initiative offers a safe space designed to empower youth by developing protective factors, with a primary focus on social skills development and the prevention of peer pressure and substance use. The group strives to strengthen coping strategies, emotional processing, stress management, and dealing with interpersonal conflicts, among other vital topics.
By fostering a nurturing environment, participants can connect with experienced adult mentors and engage with their peers, sharing experiences, and insights in a safe space. The discussions are adaptable, ensuring they meet the specific needs of each specific group. With a max capacity of 15 participants per session, the program aims to enhance youths’ ability to communicate effectively with peers and adults,
fostering reconnection and promoting healthy interaction and support-seeking behaviors. Facilitated
by a skilled Health Liaison, the group is dedicated to supporting mental health and encouraging youth to
seek and offer support within their community. Once a month the opportunity to connect with community.

Ages 12-16
June 2 – July 29, 2026
Every Tuesday and Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Free peer and facilitator led group. A safe space for youth to connect and share. Must be no later
then 15 mins from the start of the group to participate. Will follow the LCSC school calendar, no meetings during vacations, unless otherwise arranged. (Mondays start in Jan 2026)
