Daytime water hydrant flushing to begin Monday, Sept. 29, 2025

Logansport Utilities (LU) will be flushing water hydrants for the next eight weeks to improve water quality, the health of the water system, and ensure hydrants are operational.

LU will begin flushing areas on the south side of the water system on Monday, September 29, 2025, every day Monday through Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

There will be no interruption of service.

During the bi-annual flushing process, nearby residents or businesses may experience typical
temporary water discoloration or low water pressure.

To check if discoloration has cleared, run the water at one tap for two to three minutes. If it does not clear, wait an hour, and try again.

Customers with any questions about hydrant flushing or need to report long lasting discolored water or continued low pressure please call 574-753-6231 and select the water department prompt.
