The Cass County Community Foundation Incubator Kitchen is excited to announce the first educational program: “Launch Menu,” a free, educational series for food and beverage entrepreneurs in Cass County and beyond to turn their culinary ideas into thriving businesses.
Kicking off on January 13, 2026, the first Launch Menu events will be hosted at the Cass County Community Foundation, 729 E. Market Street, Logansport, and then continue at the new Incubator, Demo Kitchen, and Pavilion once they are completed in downtown Logansport.
Each session will offer practical guidance and local expertise on the essential ingredients of building a successful food venture from licensing and food safety to branding, pricing, scaling up, and much, much more!
“Our goal with Launch Menu is to make business knowledge accessible and relevant to every aspiring food and beverage creator,” said Ryan Bolhuis, Executive Director of Culinary Education. “We want to help local entrepreneurs take their recipes, ideas, and passions to the next level and connect them with the resources and support they need to succeed.”
Participants in Launch Menu will gain insights from industry professionals, small business advisors, and successful local entrepreneurs. The series will cover topics including:
• Food Licensing 101
• Crafting a Business Plan (The Business Model Canvas)
• Marketing your food business on social media
• Understanding cost control and profit margins
• Scaling production for catering, retail, and wholesale
• Going from Home to Pro (HBV vs Commercial)
And many, many more topics!
The program, Launch Menu, is part of the Cass County Community Foundation’s commitment to community development and reflects the Foundation’s ongoing investment in local innovation and entrepreneurship.
All sessions are free and open to the public, but advance registration is encouraged.
