Saturday dumpster day set for Sept. 10 in Logansport

Last Updated on September 11, 2016 by cassnetwork

dumpsterLogansport residents will again be able to take advantage of a free city service.

The city will offer three large dumpsters for disposal of trash. From 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Sept. 10, the dumpsters will again be placed in the parking area northwest of the Iron Horse Museum (Depot).

The first free dumpster day following the spring clean-up led to an overwhelming response from local residents.

Mayor Dave Kitchell is asking residents to drop off items only during the time reserved for the dumpsters and to help prepare the city for Art on the Avenue, scheduled for Sept. 17.

“Many residents have called to let us know they appreciate this service and we hope to offer it several times throughout the year to accommodate people who may not have enough items to fill a dumpster all by themselves, but want to do their part to clean up their properties.”
