We’ve made some changes! We’re always listening to feedback and looking for ways to improve the services we offer. We’ve decided to try moving our “bulletin board” to the front page of so the first thing you’ll see when you visit is a list of local news, information and resources curated by the staff of Cass County Communication Network.

Caucuses to fill ballot vacancies for the upcoming special election and the upcoming general election will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 20, 2022 in Mishawaka. The eastern portion of Cass County is now part of the 2nd Congressional District.| More info

🚧 A temporary traffic signal has been installed on US 35 north of Walton for bridge work between CR 600 S and CR 650 S. Work will be ongoing through mid-September. | More info

🚧 A temporary traffic signal has been installed for bridge work between Cliff Drive and Gates St. over the Wabash River south crossing (south of Biddle’s Island). Work will be ongoing through late November for a bridge deck overlay preventative maintenance project. | More info

🚧 State Road 16 will be reduced to one lane over the West Branch Twelve Mile Creek between State Road 25 and C.R. 500 E, and a temporary traffic signal will be installed to direct traffic. Work will be ongoing in this location on or after July 25 through mid-August for an arch reconstruction bridge preventative maintenance project. | More info

  • Utility Assistance – The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) and the Low-Income Home Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP) helps Hoosier homeowners and renters pay their heat, electric and water bills:
