Kathy A. Zimmerman

zimmermanKathy A. Zimmerman, 58 of Logansport passed away Thursday, May 26, 2016 at St. Elizabeth East Hospital in Lafayette.

Born on July 20, 1957 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late James W. Snyder and Sarah Ann “Peggy” Snyder.  On December 31, 1975 at Eglin Air Force Base in Niceville, Florida she married Randy G. Zimmerman who survives.

Kathy was a United States Air Force Veteran. She was a 1975 graduate of Lower Dauphin High School in Hummelstown, PA. Kathy then graduated from Purdue University with her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in Fine Arts. She collected angels and was an avid reader of Amish fiction. Kathy was an artist and received many awards for her work. She adored her grandchildren and loved animals.

Surviving along with her husband Randy, are two daughters, Heather (Ryan) Morr, Tampa, FL; Heidi (Robert) Burkett, Union City, IN; grandson, Vanderlei Burkett; granddaughter Zuriel Burkett, both of Union City; two brothers, Don Jenkins Jr., Pennsylvania; John (Jennifer) Snyder, Georgia; and two sisters, Barb (Dan) Regalia, Aiken, SC; Beverly (Rob) Conley, South Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Linda Russell and her brother, James H. Snyder.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Rev Aaron Gross officiating.  Burial with Military Graveside Rites will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Logansport.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 6:00 on Monday, May 30, 2016 also in the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, St. Jude’s Children Hospital, Still Waters Ministries, Turning Point for God, or the Wycliffe Bible Translators.
